Coverage
|
|
Varies
with job site conditions and application technique. For estimating
purposes: at 1/4" (6 mm) thickness, 50 lbs. (22.68 kg) covers approximately
20 to 25 sq. ft. (1.8 to 2.3 m2/ltr) (0.5 cubic ft. (0.014 m3) of
mixed material). |

Surface
Preparation
|
|
All receiving
surfaces must be structurally sound, clean, free of dust, dirt,
silicones, paint products, efflorescence or any other contaminant
which could hinder bonding ability. Provide absorptive surfaces
on all substrates including smooth precast or formed concrete by
abrading the surface.
|
| |
|
|
|
Mixing
|
|
Mechanically
mix with a slow speed drill to produce a smooth workable consistency.
Add clean potable water:
50 lbs. (22.68 kg): Add 3 to 4 quarts (2.7 to 3.8 ltr) water.
10 lbs. (4.5 kg): Add 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 pints (.6 to .8 ltr) water.
Do not overwater! Mixing time should not exceed 90 seconds.
Do not over air entrain by excessive mixing. Caution:
Concrete Floor Patch is a fast setting material. Mix only enough material
that can be placed in 10 to 15 minutes. |

Application
|
|
Pre-dampen patched
areas to control suction. Apply a slurry coat with a stiff bristle
brush to areas to be repaired. Immediately apply fresh Concrete
Floor Patch with a trowel before the brush coat dries. Force material
into the receiving areas firmly to assure a good bond. Deep fills
should be built up gradually. Slightly overfill patch and then shave
with straight edge before fully set to conform to surrounding surfaces. Total thickness not to exceed 1 inch. Add pea gravel to the mix to reach thickness up to 1-1/2 inches.
